In July 2008 we will set off across Europe towards the Middle East with a car full of waste vegetable oil for fuel.

We will reach Baku on the Western side of the Caspian Sea before turning back towards home - in the process completing a circumnavigation of the Black Sea. We will pass through 18 countries on our 8000 mile round trip. We will be raising money for Friends of the Earth, and will strive to make the trip as sustainable as possible. In order to do this we are obtaining waste vegetable oil from restaurants and takeaways and processing this into straight vegetable oil, which can be used to power our diesel engine.
Please support us by keeping up to date with our progress via the veg oil blog and newsletter. We will be running a sweepstake to raise money for Friends of the Earth – information on this will follow in the near future.

Thanks
